Arlene Klein

Funeral Service for Arlene Klein, 98, of Hebron will be 1:00 p.m., CT, Monday, March 20, 2023 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Hebron with Pastor David Ling officiating. Burial will follow at St. Jonh's Cemetery.

Arlene passed away on January 22, 2023 at Marian Manor in Glen Ullin.

Arlene Alice Schmautz was born on November 14, 1924 in Grant County, North Dakota to Jacob and Minnie (Metzger) Schmautz. She attended school through the eighth grade at Heart Butte School.

Arlene was married to Fritz Koehler. To this union, two daughters were born, Rozella and Gail. After Fritz passed away in 1977, Arlene was married to Ernest Klein.

Arlene belonged to St. John United Church of Christ in Hebron and was part of the Women’s Guild. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends.

Arlene is survived by her daughters, Rozella (LeRoy) Thomas of Hebron and Gail Eissinger of Glendive, Montana; 4 grandchildren, Holly Eissinger, Nikki (Blake) Heinz, Jennifer (Corey) Roth, Jesse (Cassidy) Kitzan; and 5 great-grandchildren, Austin Roth, Willow, Noah, Bodhi, and Leo Heinz.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Minnie; her husbands, Fritz Koehler (1977) and Ernest Klein (1997); brothers, Wilbert, Norman, and Richard; and her son-in-law, Bruce Eissinger.
