Britta Jo Bohmbach

August 10, 2023 — August 14, 2023

Charlson, ND

Britta Jo Bohmbach was born to Hali and Bridger Bohmbach on August 10, 2023. She passed into the arms of Jesus on August 14, 2023. Her parents were excited to grow their family and watch Leddy become a big sister. In April 2023, Britta was diagnosed with anencephaly which is a fetal congenital birth defect and her family was heartbroken. She was loved by so many friends and family in her short time here and will be incredibly missed.

A private funeral service was held for Britta at Keen First Lutheran Church in Charlson, North Dakota.

To our precious baby girl we wish we could have saved
All the dreams and adventures, the roads you would have paved

We smile through the pain and tears, strong as we can be
We know you’re safe with Jesus and in the arms of Thee

No words will ever be enough to describe the love we miss
You’ve taught us more than anyone because of all of this

Through our deepest sorrow, we’ve found strength we didn’t know
There were moments of joy in feeling you move and watching you grow

Oh how we wish we could have brought you home to love a little more
But we see the beauty in God’s plan more than we did before

A love we could not fathom that makes it so hard to let go
It’s all within our story that was created long ago

He made you a part of us and us a part of you
Your mommy, your daddy and your big sister Leddy too

You’ll be on our minds and in our hearts, watching from above
Until the day He calls us home thanks to His endless love

Britta is survived by her parents Bridger and Hali, and her sister Leddy of Charlson; Grandparents Brad and Jackie Gjermundson of Marshall and Clark and Bonnie Bohmbach of Charlson; great-grandpa Stanley Gjermundson of Marshall; aunts and uncles Kane and Justene Gjermundson of Marshall, Garrett and Jori Peterson of Minot, Brian and Genessa Knowles of Heppner, OR, and Kyle and Brianna Vine of Vida, MT; along with many cousins.
