Cody Nelson, 28, of Killdeer passed away November 26, 2023 in Killdeer

Cody Dean Nelson was born November 8, 1995 in California, the son of William Dean and Stacy Lynne (McAfee) Nelson. He grew up and graduated from high school in California. At the age of 18, he made the journey to North Dakota, where he went right to work. Cody worked at various companies including Cenex Tire Shop, Trotters, All In One, Twin Falls Trucking and A&J Oil Field Solutions before ending up trying to start up his own business “AUG Mechanical Solutions” named after his grandpa. Cody loved any and everything outdoors.. hunting, fishing and ice fishing. He will be remembered for his humorous personality, always making people laugh.

Cody is survived by his parents, William and Stacy Nelson; brother, Ryan Nelson; sister, Skyler Nelson; grandmothers, Sheila Brown, Jody Reed; great-grandfather, Bobby Reed; aunts, Chrissy McAfee and Charity Richards; uncles, Matthew Brown and Andrew Brown.

He was preceded by his grandfather, August Brown.
