Connie Ann Voigt (Hondl) was born on April 8, 1959, in Dickinson to Steven and Martha (Decker) Hondl. She was raised on the family farm south of Dickinson. While growing up, Connie loved being anywhere on the farm-especially wherever her dad was-feeding cattle, working in the fields, or caring for the animals. She graduated from Dickinson High School in 1977. After graduation, she attended Dickinson State University for a short time. Connie married Roger Allen Voigt in 1981, and together they welcomed two children, Emanuel (1982) and Heather (1987).

Connie dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked for several years as a dental hygienist before continuing her passion for helping people. Throughout her career, she worked at St. Luke's Nursing Home, Hilltop Home of Comfort in Killdeer, and Evergreen as a CNA, and most recently as a dietary assistant at Hawks Point. Connie was known for her strong work ethic and her willingness to step in wherever she was needed, often going above and beyond to support her co-workers and ensure those in her care were comfortable and well taken care of. She truly loved her work, her co-workers, and the people she cared for.

She found joy in the simple things in life. Connie loved being outdoors, spending time around horses, and caring for her pets. She enjoyed baking, puzzles, crosswords, and reading. She also cherished time spent visiting, laughing, and making memories with those she loved. Above all, she treasured her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.

Connie is lovingly survived by her parents, Steven and Martha (Decker) Hondl; her son, Emanuel (Wendy Serhienko) Voigt; her daughter, Heather (Michael) Quass; her grandchildren, Kaylee Serhienko, Korbin and Kara Quass; her brothers, Randy (Sharon) Hondl and Jeff (Anita) Hondl; her sisters, Pamela (Perry) Nicklous and Laurie (Dennis) Jarrett; her mother-in-law, Janice Voigt; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews with whom she shared many cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerome and Anna (Binstock) Decker, and Anton and Anna (Sivak) Hondl, her father-in-law, Robert Voigt, and many other loved ones who went before her.

Connie will be remembered for her caring heart, her deep love for family, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. Her love and gentle spirit will live on through her family-in the quiet moments, shared memories, and the care they show to others in her honor.
