Cory was born on February 20, 1965 to Theodore and Rodella (Stark) Jahner in Minot, ND. Cory lived in various areas throughout the Midwest before graduating from Dickinson High School in 1984.
At the age of 15 Cory began working in the heating and air business. He worked with the family business and later joined Tom's Heating and Air, where he spent over 35 years dedicated to his trade in HVAC. He then began his maintenance journey with ABLE, Inc. until his early retirement.
On August 26, 1989, Cory married the love of his life, Rosalie Kirschenheiter, in Dickinson. Together they made their home and were challenged with three wonderful sons.
Among his favorite pastimes were building and racing cars and competing in Demolition Derbies. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, especially pheasant hunting in his early years. He passed these passions onto his boys and loved supporting them in their own hobbies.
Cory enjoyed gardening, collecting coins, trading silver and gold, metal detecting and searching for hidden treasures. He was a devoted NASCAR and Minnesota Vikings fan and cherished time spent camping, racing, and visiting with family and friends.
He was known for his warm personality, great sense of observation, and his love for simply driving around the neighborhood and connecting with others. Above all, his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He took great delight in spoiling them and spending quality time together.
Cory will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Cory is survived by his wife, Rosie and their sons, Tyler Jahner, Patuxent River, MD; Jesse (DesiRae) Jahner, Bismarck, ND; Steven (Carlie) Jahner, Dickinson, ND; seven grandchildren: Alivia, Gavin, Evelynn, Brayah, Brextyn, Kahne, and Aiden; siblings, Ronald Jahner, Wayne (Amy) Jahner, Daniel Jahner, Judy (Alan) Larson, Dawn (Rob) Dolechek; and by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded by his parents, Theodore and Rodella and nephew, Matthew Jahner.
