David H. Myran

Funeral Service for David “Dave” H. Myran, 70, of Dunn Center will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson officiated by Pastor Scott Skones. Burial will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery north of Taylor.

Visitation for Dave will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Stevenson Funeral Home.

Dave passed away on November 14, 2023 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck.

David Henry Myran was born on June 29, 1953 to Henry Thomas and Doris Ellen (Hartung) Myran. He grew up on a dairy farm in Taylor and graduated from Taylor High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. After serving four years, part of which was spent in Vietnam, he worked for the City of Dickinson. Following that, he went back to work on the family dairy farm.

Dave married Jan and to this union four children were born, Cory, Carrie, Colta, and David.

Dave was in many bands over the years, playing everything from classic rock to country. He even wrote some music himself. Dave was a diehard Vikings fan, watching or listening to every game. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at the lake, especially fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his children, Cory (Amanda) Myran, Carrie (Jay) Jahner, Colta Myran, and David C. Myran; grandchildren, John, Carly, Madelyn, Thomas, Justin, Joshua, Drake, Olivia, Tyler, and Remmi; great-grandchildren, Callahan and another on the way; and siblings, Barb, Larry, and Judy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Doris; and siblings, Michael, Terry, and Shirley.
