Denise Losing, 58, of Baker passed away June 27, 2022 at her home in Baker.
Denise Ann Losing was born June 23, 1964 in Miles City, MT to Roger and Melba (Ammons) Losing. She joined brother, Keith, sister, Lynda and nine years later sister Amy joined the family. Denise grew up at the ranch north of Baker, MT attending O’Donnell Country School and then graduating from Baker High School. Denise was blessed with son Christopher Ryan Losing on July 17, 1983. With a servant heart she chose to serve others through her jobs at Cue and Brew for years, Quality Personal Care for 14 years and then joining the team at Baker Ace Hardware. The last eight years at Baker Ace Hardware Denise became a part of a second family with Kyle and Emily Medearis and the crew.
When not working Denise found herself reading the next Danielle Steele novel, or any other romance novel. It was found that Denise took a great interest in writing down meticulously any life quotes or poems she would come across that she connected too, two of these are shared in her funeral program. She loved puzzles and played solitaire on her phone. Denise was always up for a traveling adventure. Denise met Carey in 2008 working at Quality Personal Care and a friend-sister for life relationship was made. Carey left Baker for a short time but Denise kept track of her and supported her through her work at earning a college education. It was then Carey’s turn to be Denise’s rock as she fought her cancer. Trips to chemo and her positive attitude helped keep Denise going and soon Carey became one of the family. For the last thirteen years one could find her special companion Lady by her side.
In July 2017 the doctors gave her 6 months to live and a diagnosis of stage 4 breast, lung and lymphoma cancer. God blessed us with giving us five more years with Denise. Denise was strong, brave and fought cancer every day with a smile on her face. Denise was the strongest person we all knew.
Denise will be missed dearly by her son Christopher; parents Roger and Melba Losing; sister Lynda Herbst and children, Corey (Lisa) Herbst (Brooklynn, Hailey), Lacey Herbst (Dane Wang) Landon Longero, Cooper Longero, Elliot Wang) Amy Losing (Tim King) and children, Braden Losing (Ryker, Keegen) Zachary ( Katie) Burdick ( Levi), Carey (LeRoy) Tronstad and children Makayla Lovec, Braelynn Lovec, Landon Lovec, children of late brother Keith Losing, Jerome Losing, Eric (Stephanie) Losing ( Charli Rose), Hunter (Stacey Gundlach) Losing, Shane (Jenny) Kiltie.
