Dolores "Dude" Veroye

Funeral Service for Dolores "Dude" Veroye will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2025 at Stevenson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bonnievale Cemetery.

Family Receiving Friends will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Stevenson Funeral Home.

Dude passed away June 3, 2025 at Superior Care Villa.

Dolores “Dude” Irene Veroye was born on March 23, 1932 to Bert and Carol (Stark) Hudson in Ollie, Montana. In this quiet area of Southeastern Montana she and her siblings were raised and attended the small rural school in Ollie through her younger years. In her teen years Dude went to Baker High School graduating in 1950. After high school Dude married her high school sweetheart, LaVern “Bony” Veroye in Ollie, MT on June 18, 1950. To this union four children were born, LaRita, Mary Ellen, Scott and Casey. Together they raised their family in Baker, MT.

Dude worked various jobs over the years, Roy’s Motel as a housekeeper and later the liquor store and the hospital. Dude loved the outdoors especially camping and hiking. Her favorite spot was Mystic Lake in the Beartooth Mountains in south central Montana. There are many of her hand embroidered dish towels around that were made with love for her family and friends. Dude’s greatest joy and most fulfilling was any time she had the opportunity to spend with grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She spent many hours in her kitchen as a short order cook making lunch when they visited, letting each one pick their favorite meal, along with a special dessert.

Dude is greatly loved and will be missed by her children, LaRita Huether, Mary Ellen (Bill) Bagley, Scott (Debbie) Veroye, Casey (Sue) Veroye; grandchildren, Angie Huether, Shawn (LaCinda) Huether, , Karrol (Jake) Williams, Karmen (Jerad) Bagley, Will Bagley, Mark (Kayla) Veroye, Danni (Jake) Kraft, Ann (Bailey) Estell, Joe (Zoe) Veroye; great grandchildren, Tina (Micheal) Poppert, Travis Koenig, Taylyn Koenig, Terrel (Grace) Koenig, Alex Williams, Riley Williams, Haleigh Veroye, Aubrey Veroye, Christian Kraft, Grayson Kraft, Walter Huether, Jack Veroye, Joey Veroye; great-great grandchildren Fynnli Poppert and one grandson on the way in November; sister-in-law, Jo Hudson; special son-in-law, Calvin Huether; as well as two special grand dogs Tuff and Opie.

Preceded in death by her husband, LaVern Veroye; parents, Bert and Carol (Stark) Hudson; brother, Delbert Hudson; sisters and brother in laws, Marguerite & Sam Fisher, Myrtle “Myrt” & Lyle Stanhope; nephew, Micheal Hudson; grandchildren, Kandi & Dustin Koenig.
