Duane "Dewy" Tuhy

Duane “Dewy” F. Tuhy, 68, of Killdeer, passed away June 7, 2022. In accordance with Duane’s wishes, cremation has taken place. No services will be held.

Duane was born April 18, 1954 in Portsmouth, VA, the son of Vincent and Dorothy (Haller) Tuhy.  He grew up on the family farm, north of South Heart, graduating from South Heart High School.  Duane continued his education at NDSSS, North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton.  Duane resided in Killdeer, ND and worked for Benz Oil, Koch Trucking and TMI.

Duane enjoyed his motorcycle riding, as long as his health allowed, then transitioned to a side-by-side. He loved taking trips to the Black Hills with Cordella. He also enjoyed welding and gardening when he was able to. He was a great story teller, he never missed a chance to tell all his great stories to his friends and family.  

Duane is survived by daughter Cristy (Tuhy) Grimsley of Owensboro, KY; brother-in-law Craig Hummel; and his best friend/companion Cordella Rychner of Killdeer, ND.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Dorothy Tuhy; and sister, Kathy Hummel.
