Duane Tysver

Duane L. Tysver, 71, passed away on Oct. 8, 2022, at the University of Utah Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah; following complications from heart surgery.

Duane was born in Dickinson, N.D.; on July 5, 1951, the son of David John and Alice Ruth (Rychner) Tysver. In the summer of 1973, he married Renee’ Kadrmas and had three sons: Joshua, Jeremiah and Jonathan Tysver.

Duane was raised by his sister, Sandra, as his mother passed at a young age. Duane was always grateful for his four sibling’s love and loyalty, no matter what. Duane was very athletic in his high school years, especially his love for basketball.

In the summer of 1983, Duane and Renee’ moved to Wyoming pursuing his life-long career in the oil and gas industry. They later divorced.

In 1988, Duane married Peggy Hysell. They shared many interests together in their 33 years of marriage. Duane and Peg enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, rock collecting and riding 4-wheelers. Duane was a champion billiards player as well as an excellent, patient pool teacher. He has many friends who enjoyed playing billiards with him throughout North Dakota and Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peg; sister, Carol Tysver; three great-granddaughters and his parents.

He is survived by his three sons: Joshua (Amy) Tysver, of Dickinson, N.D.; Jeremiah (Sommer) Tysver, and Jonathan Tysver (Chelsy Toomer), both of Mountain View, Wyo.; three step-children: Craig (Polly) Hysell; Lisa Branson (Korey Black) and Angie Hysell (Kyle Lyons), all of Mountain View, Wyo.; two sisters: Sandra Benz of Killdeer, N.D.; and Renee Tysver of Palmer, Alaska; and a brother, David Tysver Jr. of Dickinson, N.D.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, which he always enjoyed spending time with.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Josh Tysver’s house 729 26th Street West, Dickinson. Meal and refreshments provided.
