Elizabeth "Betsy" Myers

Graveside service for Elizabeth "Betsy" Myers, 88, of Apache Junction, AZ will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at St. Mary's Cemetery in New England, ND. Deacon Victor Dvorak will officiate.

Betsy passed away quietly at her home in Apache Junction, AZ on September 5, 2022.

Betsy was born on June 5, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH to Edward John and Emma Elizabeth (Burns) Myers. She attended grammar school at Brown County and graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in Physical Therapy.

Betsy worked as a Physical Therapist in clinical settings before starting her own practice in Half Moon Bay, CA. She retired from Physical Therapy and moved to Murphy, CA before moving to Apache Junction, AZ. She was active in her community at Superstition Mountain Resort, and she leaves many friends from her deep involvement. Betsy was also active in the American Physical Therapy Association and worked hard to deliver compassionate care.

Betsy is survived by her loving sister, Karen Ann Myers, as well as her nieces and nephews, Laura Leary Boggs, Denise Leary Scott, Joby Leary, Veronica Leary Wallace, Donna Reidel Daniel, and Linda Reidel-Spille.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Emma and Edward; her lifelong love, Pat Pechtl; and her sisters, Sarah Ann Myers Reindel and Mary Denise Myers Leary.

Betsy was beloved by her extended family and friends, and her family wishes to thank Bonnie Blossom for her tender care and compassion.
