A funeral Mass for Elizabeth “Betty” B. Lech, 93, Bismarck, formerly of Dickinson, will be 11:00 a. m. , Monday, June 15, 2015 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, in Dickinson, with Msgr. Patrick Schumacher celebrating. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation for Betty will be 3:00 p. m. – 6:00 p. m. , Sunday, June 14th at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with a Rosary and Vigil service being held at 4:00 p. m. Elizabeth passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home, Bismarck, ND. Betty Grosser was born February 21, 1922, in rural Stark County, ND, the daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Grosser. Betty married Frank P. Lech on June 7, 1944 in Dickinson, ND. Frank and Betty made their home on a farm south of Dickinson where they raised their four children. Betty was active in the local Homemaker Club, Eagles Auxiliary, Church Altar Society, and volunteered as a tutor at the public library. Betty also enjoyed gardening, quilting, and sewing. Betty is survived by her four children: Edward (LaJuana) Lech, Mandan, ND, Kenneth (Janet) Lech, Hovingham, UK, Sharon (Bill) Hollenkamp, Artesia, NM, and Ethel (Mal) Wax Puposky, MN; grandchildren: Jason (Angela) Lech and children Amelia & Kaitlyn, Robert (Sadie) Lech and children Caliegh, Noah, & Landon, Jared Stedham and children Jax, Chloe, & Penelope, Justin (Elsie) Stedham and children J Scot, Jasper, & Stella, Marcus Wax, Ryan Lech, and Adam Lech. Step-grandchildren: Brian Fox, Caroline Wantaja and children, Austin, Madison, Kolby, & Mason, Taryn (Terry) Erickson and children Thomas & Trista, Tammy Hollenkamp and children Justin & Samantha, Mary (Chad) Carlson and daughter, Cortney. Betty is also survived by her sister, Rose Moldenhauer and brother, William (Angie) Grosser, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Betty was proceeded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Beverly; her parents; and brothers, Bernard, John, and Frank.
