Baker

Funeral Service for Floyd Richmond, 84, of Baker will be Tuesday, August 17 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson Funeral Home Baker with Pastor Erik Burdick officiating. Burial will follow at Bonnievale Cemetery with military honors by American Foreign Legion Post #35.

For those unable to attend the service will be live streamed and available on the Stevenson Funeral Home website.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 9:00-11:00am at Stevenson Funeral Home Baker.

Floyd passed away August 12, 2021 at Superior Care in Baker, MT.

Floyd was born on October 22, 1936 to the late Albert and Fay (Huling) Richmond at Ripley County, Missouri. Floyd joined the army out of high school and served as an aircraft mechanic before he was injured in Korea. Upon his return to Missouri, he worked on the Harbour police in New Orleans, LA for 3 years. The rest of his work history involved working in the oilfield which took him to many countries and states.

He married Judy Kohler on June 1, 1963 and to this union, were born three children, Dena, Signe and Albert. Floyd and Judy made their home in Baker, where they raised their family. Floyd always believed that a person should treat people like they would like to be treated. He always had a hand for someone in need. He was a kind and generous man who never met a stranger. He had a quick smile and boisterous “Hello” for everyone he met. He took great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren. He considered himself more fortunate than most.

Floyd is survived by his four children, Kevin Richmond (Theresa), Poplar Bluff, MO; Dena Kirschten (Mark), Baker; Signe Taylor, Miles City, MT; and Albert Richmond, Idaho Falls, ID; 8 grandchildren, Lesley Liane (Daniel), Jessica Sheehy (Jonathan), Maranda Madsen, Mathew Madsen (Randi), Elycia Richmond, Alexandria Richmond, Grace Richmond, Jackson Richmond, Nate Richmond, Matthew Richmond.
Several great grandchildren, Emmalynn Liane, Eloise Liane, Connor Sheehy, Carson Sheehy, Mary Ruth Scheduler, Madeson Richmond, Shelby Bullenger, Tonya Richmond, Hunter and Carson Richmond; 1 great great grandchild Emery.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Richmond; Father, Albert Richmond; Mother, Fay Richmond; and grandson Billy Richmond. Also preceding him in death are brothers: Alvin, Lester, Norman, Harlon and sisters Goldie Wagner and Doris Schmaltz.
