Frances Bruski

A funeral Mass for Frances Lillian Bruski, 82, of Ekalaka, will be 11:00 a. m. , Monday, June 29th at St. John’s Catholic Church in Baker, MT with Fr. Thomas Tobin celebrating. Burial will take place in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for Frances will be 2:00 p. m. – 4:00 p. m. , Sunday, June 28th at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker with a rosary and vigil service being held at 4:00 p. m. Frances passed away peacefully Saturday, June 20, 2015 at her home in Edgewood Vista in Bismarck, ND. Frances was born January 4, 1933 in Baker, MT, the daughter of Clifford Guy and Mary Anastasia (Bradac) Cate. Growing up, she attended grade school in Baker and Sacred Heart School in Miles City. She continued her education at Western Montana College and Eastern Montana College. Frances was a teacher for seven years at Forsyth, Baker and Miles City. On June 18, 1960, Frances married Ralph Bruski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The couple ranched (F&R Ranches) near Ekalaka and were blessed with six children, Anita, Joseph, Mark, Louis, Joanne and Julie. Frances was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and Catholic Daughters. She experienced great joy when she traveled with Ralph to Rome and Medjugorje. Her generosity to others was huge and she was a great hostess. The Catholic Faith was always a priority to her. Being a woman of great faith she asks that we pray for her soul and all the poor souls. Frances is survived by her daughters, Anita (Kevin) Record of Gillette, WY, Joanne (Teric) Engebretson of Sundance, WY, Julie (Tim) Kuennen of Bismarck, ND; sons Joseph (Sonja) Bruski of Ekalaka, MT and Mark (Georgia) Bruski of Ekalaka, MT; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jean Niklas of Fullerton, CA, Faye McCall of Boise, ID; brother, James (Mary) Cate of Hayden Lake, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Mary; husband, Ralph (2002), infant son, Louis Bruski (1969); and brother, Jerome Cate.
