Frank Anton Kudrna: husband, father, grandfather, great and great-great-grandfather, 101, Bismarck formerly of Dickinson, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 28, 2003 at St Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. Funeral Service for Frank is scheduled for 11:00 a. m. Monday, March 3, 2003 at Evangelical Bible Church, Dickinson with Pastor Tim Privratsky, celebrating. Burial will be at Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, March 2, 2003 from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue at the Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel on Monday from 8:00 a. m. to 9:30 a. m. and at the Evangelical Bible Church 1 hour prior to service. Frank was born on September 4, 1901, in Dickinson to Joseph and Maria (Kubas) Kudrna. He grew up and attended country elementary school. Frank was married to Anastacia Barta on November 13, 1922 in New Hradec. To this union four children were born: Dorothy, Laudie, Richard and Larry. Frank farmed and ranched north of Dickinson. After her death in 1943, Frank was married to Mary (Hanel) Ficek on April 7, 1945 in Dickinson. Also joining the family were Mary?s two children, Richard and Sharon. After their marriage, they moved to a farm in Dunn County until May of 1946 when they moved to a farm in Stark County. To this union KayAnn and Lee were born. In 1955 they retired and moved into Dickinson where they made their home. Mary passed away in 1990. In 2001 Frank moved to Bismarck to be closer to his family where he has made his home since that time. Frank enjoyed farming all his life, he always kept his hands in a garden, even through last summer. He was especially fond of animals, he enjoyed having his cat ?Kitty? with him the last 16 years. His love for the Bible will always be remembered and his daily devotion. His last Bible with rumpled pages and rolled up corners was held together with duct tape and love. He was very proud to be able to donate the farmland for the Evangelical Bible Church. Together he and his wives joined the families together and they all grew up with a love for each other. The family and his church was always the most important part of his life. Survivors include his children, Dorothy (Emil) Kubas, Dickinson, Richard (Vera Lou) Kudrna, Gardnerville, NV, Larry (DeAnna) Kudrna, American Canyon, CA, Richard (Pat) Ficek, Arvada, CO, Sharon Ficek, Bismarck, ND, KayAnn (Ron) Privratsky, Castle Rock, CO, Lee (Lil) Kudrna, Bismarck, ND, a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Kudrna of Dickinson and a special caregiver, Sandy Kudrna of Bismarck, ND; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. His wives, Anastacia and Mary, son, Laudie, eight brothers, Joseph, Frank, John, Anton, Steven, Peter, Henry; four sister, Mary Hibl, Anna Karsky, Agnes Pavlicek and Emma Barta preceded him in death.
