Gavin Allen-William Johnson was born October 29, 2008 in Havre Montana. He grew up being raised by his mom and grandmas. He lived in the Great Falls area for the first couple years of his life and then moved to Richey. He started his elementary education at Richey Elementary School until the 3rd grade. His family then moved to the Bloomfield area where he attended school in Glendive for the 4th and 5th grade. It wasn’t until the first semester of 5th grade that they moved to Killdeer, ND where he attended school until the 8th grade.
Gavin enjoyed playing sports and weight lifting. He especially enjoyed playing football, wrestling, and being involved in track. Gavin loved listening to music and being outside. He was an avid outdoorsman, with his love for hunting and fishing. When Gavin wasn’t outside, you could often find him spending time with his family. Weekly movie nights with his two sisters were a must. The love he had for his two sisters never went unnoticed.
Gavin was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a light to everyone around him, uplifting others. He was never afraid to stand up for the ones he loved. Gavin never stopped serving others and always made a positive impact on those around him. He held fast to the rod and was prepared to be a soldier of Helaman.
Gavin is survived by his parents, Nathan and Lacey Griffiths; and sisters, Adrianna Kent and Kimber Griffiths.
He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Joseph Morsette III; great-grandparents, Carmen “Red” Jorgensen, Beverly Johnson, William Cole, and Rosetta Montes; and aunt, Megan Morsette.
