Ida Fettig

Visitation for Ida Fettig, 88, of Killdeer will be 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2024 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Burial will follow at Killdeer Cemetery. 

Ida Mae Fettig (Vollmer) passed away at Covenant Medical Center on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. 

The former Ida Vollmer was born on August 13, 1936, in Killdeer, ND. She was raised and educated in the Killdeer area. Following her marriage to Clinton Fettig on September 5, 1953, they moved to Killdeer, North Dakota where they raised their family. 

Ida was the eighth daughter of George and Christine (Giese) Vollmer.

She is survived by her son, Clint (Karen) Fettig of Manderson, WY; daughters, Deanna Fettig (Vern “Spook” Skari) of Ada, MN, and Lola (Kent) Hind of Lubbock, TX; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Ida enjoyed visiting with people and telling jokes. Over the last 20 years, she resided in Ada, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Fettig; her mother, Christine; her father, George; and her son, Noel Fettig, and daughter, Coreen Mitchell.
