Ida entered into her eternal rest peacefully on Thursday January 22nd, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Ida was born on June 14th, 1934 in Annenthal, South Russia currently Ukraine, a daughter of John and Rosina (Denning) Graf. Ida accepted the Lord Jesus as her savior at the age 15 and was baptized shortly thereafter. In 1951, she moved to America with her parents, John and Rosina and two brothers, Ewalt and Viktor, to make their home in Plevna, Montana. She married her husband, Hable Sieler in 1952. After 35 short happy years, Jesus her Lord took her dear husband home, the assurance she had in God carried her through every day as a widow. She enjoyed crocheting, she made 40 fashion dolls and numerous afghans for her children and grandchildren, cooking, baking (she was the queen of kuchen and caramel rolls), lambing, growing in her faith and Being a prayer warrior for all of her family as well as the world. She loved her family dearly and was a mother of 5, grandmother of 11, a great grandmother of 17 and a great great grandmother of 1 and another soon to be. She was a living example of her faith in her Lord Jesus and a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Plevna, MT. Her motto for life was a verse taken from Psalms 121 verses 1-2 “I look up to the mountains–does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth!”
Ida will be greatly missed by her son Daniel Sieler, of Vaughn, MT; daughters, Darlene (Jerry) Becker, of Beulah, ND, Irene (Tim) Bechtold, of Willard, MT, Betty (Gerald) Hanson, of Bowman, ND; 11 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grand Child, with another soon to be.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Hable Sieler; son, Fred Sieler; parents John and Rosina Graf; brothers, John Graf (he went missing during the war in 1940), Ewalt Graf, Viktor Graf; sisters, Elizabeth Znidaric and 2 that died at a very young age.
She will be incredibly missed by all but she longed to go home and meet her loved ones once again and what a joyous celebration that must have been.
In lieu of flower please make donations in memory of Ida to St. Jude or Samaritan Purse.
