Ilye passed away, Sunday, August 16, 2026 at her home in Dickinson.

Ilye Frideger, born August 25, 1960, in Iksan‑kun, South Korea, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Ilye's life was defined by kindness, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to the people she cherished.

Ilye met her husband, Clyde, in 1998 while he was stationed at Osan Air Base in the Republic of Korea. Their connection was immediate and enduring. The two married on November 1, 1999, in Huntingdon, England, beginning a partnership filled with adventure, laughter, and steadfast love.

When they married, Clyde had a three‑year‑old son, Johnathon Wyatt Frideger, whom Ilye embraced wholeheartedly from the very beginning. She raised Johnathon as her own, attending every baseball, basketball, soccer, and wrestling event with pride and enthusiasm. Her support was constant, and her joy in watching him grow was one of the great treasures of her life.

Ilye loved exploring the world with Clyde, especially their motorcycling trips through the Black Hills, with Deadwood holding a special place in her heart. At home, she found happiness in gardening, reading, cooking, and caring for her beloved dogs. She also took great pride in her work at KMM, where she was known for her dedication and warm spirit.

Above all, Ilye loved her family. She recently became a grandmother and was immensely proud of her grandson, Oliver, whose arrival brought her immeasurable joy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Her kindness, loyalty, and gentle strength touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Ilye is preceded in death by her father, Mun, Ki, and her mother, Kim, Kui Ye. She is survived by her husband, Clyde; her son, Johnathon; and her grandson, Oliver.

Her legacy is one of love-steadfast, generous, and enduring. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
