Jane passed away July 12, 2025 at St. Benedict's Healthcare in Dickinson.

Jane Senn, was born on June 5, 1940, in Lemmon, South Dakota, to the late Joe and Anna (Zent) Meier. Jane was a woman of remarkable talents, a loving mother, and a cherished friend whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.

On January 9, 1958, Jane married Roy Senn, and together they built a life on their farm north of Mott, North Dakota. Jane's compassionate spirit led her to establish an adult foster care in her home in Mott, where she provided nurturing support and a safe haven for those in her care. She also contributed her energy to the community, working as a breakfast attendant at a local hotel.

Jane's life was rich with passions. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures: the intricate beauty of crocheting, and the serenity of being outdoors. Her garden flourished under her attentive care, and she delighted in feeding squirrels, a testament to her deep love for all creatures great and small. Those who knew her well will fondly remember her unique affection for animals, a love so profound that it once extended to bringing ducks into the house for her beloved granddaughters.

Beyond her domestic talents, Jane was an avid reader, always eager to explore new worlds through books. She relished friendly competition, whether it was a spirited game of pinochle with loved ones or a strategic session of online poker. Jane also cherished the time she spent with her many nieces and nephews, embracing each moment with genuine affection.

Jane is survived by her daughters: Laurel (Philip) Messina of Nevada, Wanda (Jeff) Reisenauer of Minnesota, Melissa Reis of Oregon, Jennifer Haugen of North Dakota, and Elizabeth Zastoupil of North Dakota; sisters, Rosie (Frank) Barta, Ellie Raulerson, Fran (Kurt) Knight, Mary Meier; brothers, Leo (Sally) Meier, Dan (Cling) Meier, Ron (Suzanne) Meier. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

Jane was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Debra Lantz, and her great-granddaughter, Kyree Lantz; parents, Joe and Anna Meier; sisters, Eulalie Heidt, Eva Meier; brothers, Joe, Richard, Jimmy and John Meier. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will forever remain a beacon of her enduring spirit.
