Jerry passed away of natural causes Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home in Dickinson

Jerry Ellis Vrem was born to Marcoe and Mary Ann (Cooper) Vrem on July 31, 1959 in Bottineau, ND., joining his brother, Loren. Growing up the family lived in Bottineau, Westhope, Hettinger, Williston, and Dickinson.

Jerry graduated from Williston High School where he was involved in wrestling, cross country and track. He went on to graduate from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a degree in Geological Engineering. There he was active in the Theta Tau Fraternity.

Jerry was involved in the mining industry, working for Homestake Mining Co. as the surveyor in their open pit mining operations in South Dakota and Nevada.

Jerry enjoyed golfing, hunting and metv. He was known by his family for his memory and recalling details of events.

He is survived by his father, Marcoe Vrem of Dickinson; brother, Loren (Laurie) Vrem of Deadwood, SD; nieces, Amanda, Amber and Caitlin; nephew, Caleb; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Vrem.
