A Liturgy Service for Judy Brown, 70, of Dickinson, will be 6:00 pm Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Stevenson Funeral Home. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
Judy passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 at her home in Dickinson, with her family by her side.
Judy was born on September 21, 1955, in Rawlins, Wyoming, to Raymond and Bertha (O'Donnell) Erickson. She grew up in Rawlins, where she graduated from Rawlins High School in 1974. It was there she met the love of her life, Eugene Brown, and the two were married on October 20, 1981
Judy dedicated her life to caring for others-especially children. She ran Judy's Day Care from 1985 to 2021, touching the lives of countless families across Wyoming and North Dakota. She had a special way with babies-"the smaller they were, the better she liked them"-and her gentle heart made every child feel loved and safe. Her career with children was truly her life's calling.
A woman of deep faith, Judy was a lifelong Catholic who lived with kindness and grace. She enjoyed the simple joys of life: reading, cross-stitching, birdwatching, and cheering for football and basketball games. She loved Disney and Mickey Mouse, and she looked forward to the annual fish fry every year. Judy especially cherished going for drives in the country with Eugene-her favorite companion and forever best friend.
Those who knew Judy remember her as quiet and reserved until she got to know you-then she was warm, witty, and full of life. She was, without question, Eugene's girl, and her love for family was steadfast and strong.
Judy is survived by her husband, Eugene Brown of Dickinson; her daughter Stephanie Tuttle; 3 grandchildren; Kaitlyn Tuttle, Kinnick Tuttle, Krista Walker, sister, Cathy Mullette; mother-in-law, Deloris Brown; brothers-in-law, Mike Brown, Matt Brown; sister-in-law, DeAnn (Doug) Haugland; many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Gizmo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bertha Erickson; brother, Rick Erickson; sister, Chris Wells; father-in-law, Henry Brown; and brothers-in-law, Ron and Dale Brown.
