Funeral Liturgy for Leonard Pavlicek, 74, of Dickinson will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Entombment will take place at the Dickinson Mausoleum.

Visitation for Leonard will be 5 pm - 7 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Rosary taking place at 6:00 pm.

Leonard passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson.

Leonard Pavlicek was born on November 11th 1951 in Dickinson to Anton and Emma (Hanel) Pavlicek. He grew up in New Hradec. The family later moved to Dunn Center where he attended grade school and then Killdeer High School graduating in 1970. After graduation, he attended Lake Region College in Devils Lake, where he earned a certificate in welding. After college, Leonard moved to Dickinson where he began working at Husky Briquetting. Around that time, Leonard met Marlene Dutchuk. The two were married on September 10th, 1976. They made their home in Dickinson where they were blessed with one son, Clint, and later their granddaughter, Ashlyn. They have resided in the same home for nearly 50 years.

Leonard also worked for Reiter Welding and later retired from Fisher Industries/General Steel Supply Co. after 27 years of service. In his spare time, Leonard played volleyball and softball. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and playing poker. Leonard attended many stock car races and enjoyed watching the Big Sticks baseball games. He also took pride in making homemade sausages, chokecherry wine, crock pickles, jams and jellies, to which he shared with everyone. He was a jack-of-all trades, but his greatest joy was the time spent with his granddaughter, Ashlyn. Leonard was also a member of the Eagles Club, Knights of Columbus and the St. Anthony Club.

Leonard is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marlene, their son, Clint and granddaughter Ashlyn; brothers, Ed (Marvel), Andy, George (Judy), Albert, and Charlie (Annette) Pavlicek. He is also survived by Marlene's siblings, siblings-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his brother Gary, his parents, Anton and Emma, and two sisters-in-law, Debbie and Shirley Pavlicek.
