Funeral Mass for Lillian Kuchenski, 94, of Dickinson will be 11:00 am, Thursday, December 11, 2025 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Robert Shea celebrating. Burial will follow at the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Lillian passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 at St. Benedicts Health Center, Dickinson.
Lillian was born in Dickinson on December 29, 1930, the daughter of Frank J. and Mary (Simek) Hondl. She was blessed to grow up in a family of (#) siblings, where many life lessons enriched her life. Lillian was raised on the family farm and a graduate of Dickinson High School. She was married and proudly raised her children, Larry, Marvin, Daylene and Charlene.
On November 5, 1956, Lillian married Mike Kuchenski at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson. Together they built their life, tand raised their family. They farmed for several years before moving into Dickinson.
Lillian was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, belonged to the parish council, and was active in the Christian Mothers. Her faith guided her life, and she offered her time and talents wherever they were needed.
Lillian had a gift for making a house feel like a home. She loved gardening, hosting gatherings, and welcoming relatives and friends-whether it was for a holiday meal or a simple get-together. She was known for her immaculate housekeeping, even while raising a family on a busy farm. Lillian was also a wonderful cook who could make almost anything, and she took joy in preparing meals that brought everyone together.
Above all, Lillian had a heart for others. She was always the first to lend a hand and never hesitated to help someone in need. Her kindness, warmth, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lillian leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her memory will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
Lillian is survived by her sons, Larry Kuchenski, Marvin Kuchenski; daughter, Charlene (Jack) Seminara; grandchildren, John, Michael, Jack Jr., Jesse, Tatum, Ryan, BreAnn, and Sayar, She was also blessed with 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank J. and Mary Hondl; daughter, Daylene Kuchenski; brothers, Albert (Effie) Hondl; Vince (Julie) Hondl; Frank (Ann) Hondl; sisters,Mary Kay (Charles) Vetter; Frances (Mike) Friedt; Pat (George) Stewart; Elsie (Albert) Hibl; Milly (Jerry) Perdaems; infant sister.
