Llewell LeRoy was born September 5, 1930 in Hopkins, MN, the son of Llewell F. Sr. and Theresa (Souba) Johnson.  Growing up he attended rural grade school until entering high school in Baker, graduating in 1949.  Llewell married Betty Hufford on July 30, 1949 in Baker.  Their marriage was blessed with six children, Keith, Vicki, Janice, Craig, Vance and Linda who were raised in the country.  Llewell and Betty, for many years, loved farming and ranching side by side.  Llewell loved the country, waiting for the blessings God would provide through harvest each year.  Trust and contentment were the key to Llewell’s joy in being a farmer/rancher most of his life.  He was always available to help any neighbor in need.  During his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards with the neighbors and kids.

Llewell is survived by his wife, Betty of 70 years; son, Craig of the ranch South of Baker, MT; daughters, Vicki Johnson of Belgrade, MT, Janice Johnson of Jefferson, LA, Linda (Dean) Hepperle of Glendive, MT; brother-in-law, Kenneth Freeze of CA; brother, Darrell (Joan) Johnson of Baker, MT; 18 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Keith and Vance; brother, DuWayne Johnson; and sister, Reva Freeze.
