Louise Bernice Snyder

January 5, 1943 — February 3, 2026

Louise Bernice Snyder, 83, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully from natural causes on February 3, 2026, in Dickinson, North Dakota. Born on January 5, 1943, in Methuen, Massachusetts. Louise grew up and attended schools in New Hampshire. Her journey in life was marked by her deep commitment to family and her passion for helping others.

In her youth, Louise worked as a waitress in Georgia, where she met and married her husband, Fred Snyder Jr. Together, they welcomed three children: Christine, Sheryl, and Fred III. The family later relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Louise pursued her education, earning a degree in social work and dedicating many years to serving the State of New Mexico as a social worker.

After retiring, Louise moved to Dickinson to be closer to her family, cherishing the time spent with her loved ones. She enjoyed day trips, attending movies, and trying her luck at the local casinos. Above all, Louise found immense joy in the laughter, love, and companionship of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Sheryl (Gordon) Orcutt, Dickinson and Christine Snyder, Mountain View, MO; her brothers, Bill (Marilyn) Daubenschmidt, Washington, Paul (Connie) Daubenschmidt, UT and John (Patty) Daubenschmidt, VA; a sister, Ruth (Craig) Johnson, MI; five grandchildren, James, Melissa, Brad and his wife, Phynix, Kresten and her husband Cody and Adam; seven great-grandchildren, Miller, Teagan, Braxton, Jalen, Riley, Aaliyah and Aria.
