Funeral services for Lowell Lindbo, 90, of Fryburg, will be 1:00 pm Thursday, August, 27th, 2026 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with Chaplain Kent Sperry. Burial will follow at the Medora Cemetery.
Lowell passed away on August 24, 2026 at his home in Fryburg surrounded by his family.
Lowell was born August 7, 1936, in Belfield, the son of Lloyd and Lola (Fuge) Lindbo. He grew up on a ranch north of Fryburg and attended rural country school. As a young man, Lowell worked a variety of jobs and learned the value of hard work at an early age.
Lowell proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963. While stationed in Kansas he married Margie Huck on December 14, 1962. Following his military service, the couple returned home and built their life together in Fryburg.
Lowell worked for Union Carbide for three years before starting his own welding business, Lindbo Welding, which he proudly operated for 45 plus years until transitioning to metal artwork. Lowell's natural ability for art includes numerous ranch signs displayed around the Fryburg and Medora area. One of the most visible pieces of work is displayed above the boardwalk at the Taffy Shop in Medora.
When he wasn't working, Lowell enjoyed camping, fishing, painting and spending time outdoors. Lowell and Margie enjoyed dancing and one of their favorite dancing songs was "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." He especially enjoyed the simple things in life and treasured the time spent with family.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Margie Lindbo; children, Kristee (Ken) Nelson of Casper, Wyoming, Tina (Mark) Gagner of Belfield, Amy (Brian) Bautz of Dickinson, Lloyd Lindbo of Dickinson, Corinne (Bob) Chruszch of Belfield, Cody (Ashley) Lindbo of Belfield, and Midori Suzuki of Japan; eleven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; one brother and four sisters (He shared a special bond with his sister Lola Glass)
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lola Lindbo, grandparents and one brother.
Following the burial service a meal will be served at the Medora Community Center. Everyone is welcome.
