Lyla Huber

Funeral Services for Lyla Huber, 83, of Glen Ullin, ND will be 10:00 a. m. CDT, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Glen Ullin, ND. Burial will be in the Glen Ullin Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 21 from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. CDT with a Prayer Service being held at 6:00 p. m. CDT at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Glen Ullin. Lyla Huber passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Marion Manor Nursing Home in Glen Ullin, ND. Lyla P. Huber was born June 13, 1931 in Bismarck, ND, one of four children born to Art and Barbara (Bauer) Huber. She grew up on a farm near Otter Creek. The family moved to Bismarck and it was during this time that she met Richard Peltz. Lyla and Richard were united in marriage on June 20, 1948. The couple moved to a farm near Blue Grass and it was here that they raised their four children. After Richard passed away, Lyla remained on the farm for a couple of years before moving to Bismarck. Later, Lyla met David Huber and the two were married on April 3, 1980. The couple made their home in Bismarck. After David passed away in 2004, Lyla continued to make Bismarck her home until she entered Marion Manor. Lyla enjoyed spending time embroidering, crocheting, cooking and baking. She loved meeting her friends for coffee and lunch, spending time with her family and friends, and was fond of traveling with David. Lyla was a very dedicated member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Glen Ullin and Evangel Church in Bismarck. Lyla is survived by her son, Dennis (Joan) Peltz of Hannover, MN; daughters, Sheila (Gary) Herman of Bismarck, Brenda (Tony) Laska of Becker, MN, and Cindy (Wayne) Fitterer of Glen Ullin; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, DeLaine Gamble of Mankato, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Barbara Huber; husbands, Richard Peltz and David Huber; and two sisters, Jan Brown and Irene Pettit.
