A funeral Mass for Maggie Krance, 81, of South Heart, will be 10:00 a. m. , Friday, June 26th at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Belfield with Father Bill Ruelle celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Visitation for Maggie will be 12:00 – 8:00 p. m. , Thursday, June 25th at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with a rosary and vigil service being held at 7:00 p. m. Maggie passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. Magdalene “Maggie” was born October 6, 1933 in Hettinger County, North Dakota, the daughter of Jerome and Leocadia (Zent) Greff. Growing up, she attended and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Richardton, ND. She then attended LPN School of Nursing at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dickinson, ND, graduating as LPN in October of 1953. She worked as a nurse for the next 50+ years at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She worked in all aspects of St. Joseph’s Health Care. At the age of 22, Magdalene married Anthony “Tony” Krance at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson. They were blessed with seven children, Coleen, Brenda, Jim, Steve, Greg, Gordy and Shawn. Together they farmed and raised their family southwest of South Heart. In 1969, the family began Krance Auction Service. Maggie stood by her family with much patience, love, understanding and faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a faith-filled woman who served as a Christian Mother. Maggie was an avid prayer warrior and attended weekly Adoration where she spent countless hours in prayer. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Church, St. Bernard’s Guild, Catholic Daughters, LPN Association, ND Auctioneers Association (auxiliary) and a RSVP volunteer. She enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s events. Maggie enjoyed gardening, canning and all types of crafts. Maggie will be remembered for her cooking and the love she had for her family. She loved having the family gather at her home. Maggie is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Kevin) Volesky of Belfield; sons, Jim of Brighton, CO, Steve of South Heart, ND, Greg (Marsha) of Gladstone, ND, Gordy (Stephoni) of South Heart, ND, Shawn of Devil’s Lake, ND, son-in-law Russ (Rhonda) Weber of Dickinson, ND; 13 grandchildren, Heidi (Jon) Mehlhoff, Holly (Joe) Grisel, Heather (Russell) Collison, Hope (fiancé, Erik Klein) Volesky, Haylee (Jayden) Peters, Tiffani (Tim) Morman, Shane and Tracey Weber, Caleb and Jordon Strecker and Janessa Schmidt, Brittni and Bayli Krance; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Senn, Omaha, NE and sister-in-law, Pauline Greff, Dickinson, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Leocadia; husband, Tony (2008), daughter, Coleen Weber; brothers, Joe, Simon and Mike Greff; sisters, Frances Roth, Florence Frank, and Margaret Senn.
