Maryann Hoff, 86, of Dickinson passed away on November 20, 2020 at CHI St Alexius, Dickinson.

Maryann was born November 22, 1933, the eighth of eighteen children, to Frank and Anna (Kuntz) Schulz. As a young girl she attended a one room country school north of Hebron near the Knife River. Moving to Dickinson as a teenager she worked various jobs including the Ray Hotel & Laundromat. It was during this time that she met Charles “Chuck” Hoff. The two were married on June 27, 1953 at St. Stephen’s Church. The couple made their home on the family farm North of Richardton. It was here where they raised their 10 children: seven boys and three girls.

Maryann had incredible passions and shared her talents, time, and love endlessly. She enjoyed crocheting and blessed her children and many grandchildren with their own afghans that they cherished. She was also everyone’s favorite cook and baker. The buns and cookies she made always disappeared instantly. She was an avid bird watcher and had an incredible knack for putting puzzles together. Maryann was a member of St. Mary’s and Christian Mother’s. She spent countless weekends at rodeos supporting her family. She will be remembered for her giving spirit and selfless attitude. The impact she made on the lives and hearts of her family will be passed on for generations.

Maryann is survived by her husband Charles “Chuck” Hoff; daughters, Pam (Duane) Bjerke, Nori (Rudy) Stark, and Jodi Hauck; sons, Justin (Nancy) Hoff, Tom (Rita) Hoff, Mark (Judy) Hoff, Tracey (Jackie) Hoff, and Ryan Hoff; and twenty-four grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Siblings; Pauline Lantz, Dickinson; Gladys Rummel, Dickinson; Delores (Elmer) Wiege, Rapid City, SD; Geraldine Grayson, Dickinson; Dorothy (Bernie) Buresh, Lincoln, NE; Jim Schulz, Tucson, AZ; Mike (Margaret) Schulz, Dickinson; Kathleen Lindeman Ft Collins, CO; Ralph (Alice) Schulz, Dickinson; Inez (Merlyn) Hamann, Richardton, ND.

Maryann was preceded in death by both of her parents, Frank and Anna Schulz, her sons, Randall Hoff and Jason Hoff; two granddaughters, Melissa Hoff and Ashley Hoff and one grandson Denver Hauck and Siblings: Alfred Schulz, Bernice Harrington, Willy Schulz, Viola Sand, Agnes Heidecker, Elsie Maershbecker, and Jackie Messmer.
