Enid Neumiller, 97, of Dickinson, ND, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at St. Benedict's Health Center, Dickinson.
Graveside services will be held in Watauga, SD in the spring.
Enid Neumiller was born in Watauga, South Dakota on December 28, 1928, the daughter of William and Charlotte (Turner) Neumiller. She grew up and attended school in Watauga until she was 12 years old. Enid then went with her grandparents to Arlington, Virginia and on to Tampa, Florida. She completed her freshman and sophomore years doing weekly night classes on Tuesday and Thursday during the war. She was able to attend college. Following the war in 1947, she returned home, taught school one year, and worked at the bank in Morristown, SD for 20 years. In 1967, Enid became a New England resident. She worked for Hansen and DeLap Dental for 20 years and Schwartz & Oberlander for five years. Dickinson became home for Enid in 1972. Enid loved music and dancing, roller-skating, feeding the birds, yardwork, and riding horse with her nephew and nieces. Enid had a great love for animals and she always had a pet cat. In her early years, she enjoyed bowling but was definitely hooked on baseball. She proudly helped farm the family land. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling trips with her sister to many of the Eastern, Southern and Northern states. Enid's caring heart shined as she faithfully volunteered her time with Amen Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels. She helped as a Sunday school teacher, usher, candle lighting, and flower arrangements on Sunday. Her church work and her family at 1st Congregational Church were very important to her. When her health slowed her down, she always had faith in her Lord to know what was best as a 'day to day' outlook.
Enid is survived by her brothers, Keith Neumiller of Laurel, MT, Kenneth Neumiller of Lemmon, SD; many nieces and nephews; and very special friend, Jawayne.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents, William and Charlotte Neumiller; sister, Lorraine (Norman) Roe; sister-in-law, Delores Neumiller; uncle Jed; nieces, Darlene and Renee; and great-great-nephew, Kyle.
Enid deeply appreciated the care she received as a client of Northland Pace Senior Care Services and St. Benedict's Health Center, especially Dawn, and the rest of her caregivers.
