Nora Pratt

Services for Nora Pratt will be held at a later date in Georgia.  Nora June (Wiser) Pratt, 87, passed away on October 11, 2019 in Baker, Montana. She was married to Floyd H. Pratt on April 1, 1948. They spent 65 loving years together until his passing in 2013. The mountains of Young Harris, Georgia had been their home for many years. She was the middle child of five born to Elton S. and Esther E. (Childers) Wiser on August 5, 1932 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Nora is survived by her ten children: Judith Marke, Susan Hess, Peggy Johnson, Debra Pratt, Pamela Burkard, Cheryl Bunce, Carol Griffis, Floyd (Jay) Pratt, Jonathan Pratt, and Ginger Pratt-Williams. Even up until recently Nora was heard repeating the names of her children “Judy, Susan, Peggy, Debby, Pam, Cheryl, Carol, Jay, Jon, Ginger” whom she dearly “loved” and was so “proud of.” She is also survived by her twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren; two younger brothers, Glen (Velda) and Ted Wiser; and many nieces and nephews. Nora was preceded in death by her two older brothers, Charles (Gwen) and Lloyd (Elta) Wiser and her sister-in-law Shirley. Nora always loved being surrounded by nature and loved feeding and watching birds. She was a beautiful person inside and out, and a devoted wife and mother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
