Pamela Lindemann

A Liturgy of the Word for Pam Lindemann, 71, of Crosby, ND formerly of Dickinson, ND, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, with Msgr. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Visitation for Pam will take place one hour prior to her service on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at the funeral home.

Pamela Elizabeth Lindemann (Locket) was born November 19, 1954, in Fargo, ND. She spent her early childhood in Wheatland, North Dakota, before her family moved to Dickinson as she was preparing to enter the sixth grade. Pam spoke often and fondly of those childhood years. Her twin sister, Penny, would climb on their bikes and spend entire days riding around town, enjoying a kind of freedom and adventure that remained among her favorite memories throughout her life.

Pam graduated from Dickinson High School in 1972 and was always proud to be a Dickinson Midget, the school's longtime mascot at the time of her graduation. She later attended Lake Region College in Devils Lake, earning a degree in Fashion Merchandising. Her career in merchandising began at the Fad Clothing Store, then DK Men's Clothing, and eventually led her to Herberger's at the Prairie Hills Mall. Herberger's became a significant part of Pam's life and after many years she eventually became manager of the men's department. The mall itself held a special place in family history. Pam's sister Kathy owned and operated the salon Hair It Is, in the same mall, making it a place filled with familiar faces, family, and memories. In 1983 Pam welcomed her son Kyle. As a single mother, she raised him with fierce determination and the support of a close-knit family. Pam's parents Bob and Laura Locket, her sister Kathy Bastian, her brother Michael Locket were all nearby in Dickinson and played important roles in Kyle's life. Her twin sister, Penny, was also a constant source of love and support even after moving to Fargo. Pam also shared deep bonds with Jerry and Tom. For Pam, family was not simply important; family was everything.

Pam was a survivor! In 1994, she faced colon cancer and beat it. That strength and stubborn determination remained defining parts of who she was throughout her life.

On July 2, 1997, Pam married Greg Lindemann and she and Kyle moved to Crosby, ND, where she developed new friendships while working at J Company Drug and BNC National Bank and made her home for the rest of her life.

Greg was more than Pam's husband; he was her partner and devoted caregiver. Throughout Pam's cancer treatments and health struggles, Greg worked tirelessly to make sure she had everything she needed. He cared for her with patience, loyalty, and unwavering love.

Pam could be crabby and anyone who knew her knows there is no reason to pretend otherwise, but Greg always knew how deeply she loved him and how thankful she was for all he did for her.

Pam was blunt, she was direct, she was assertive, quick-witted and very funny. She had the gift of making people laugh. She had the ability to tell entertaining stories which made every gathering memorable. But beneath that straightforward exterior was a woman who was deeply and fiercely loyal to the people she called family. If Pam loved you, she was in your corner.

One of Pam's greatest joys was being a grandmother to Aedan, age 17, Olive Ann, age 12, and Henri, age 10. The family that had supported Pam throughout her own life continued into another generation and her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Bob Locket and Laura Locket (Roden); her brothers, Tom Locket, Michael Locket, and Gerry Locket; and her father-in-law Arnold Lindemann and her brother-in-law, Milt Bastian.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Greg Lindemann; her son, Kyle Locket (Jennifer) Mulligan-Locket; her grandchildren, Aedan, Olive, and Henri; her twin sister, Penny (Mark) Eckelberg; her sister, Kathy Bastian; her mother-in-law Tillie Lindemann; her sisters-in-law Valerie (Shortie) Locket and Michele Lindemann Jaeger; her brothers-in-law Gary (Evie) Lindemann and Msgr. Gene Lindemann and extended family and loved ones whom she remained deeply loyal to throughout her life.

Pam's life was defined by family, resilience, humor, and an unapologetic honesty that made her unmistakably herself. She loved fiercely, laughed often, and spoke her mind, leaving no doubt about where she stood. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
