Funeral Services for Norman ?Pete? Stevens, 92, of Killdeer is Monday, September 20, 2004 at 1:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel, Killdeer. Interment will follow at Killdeer Cemetery in Killdeer. Visitation begins Sunday from 1:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. , and Monday 9:00 a. m. to 11:00 and one hour prior to service at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel, Killdeer. Pete passed away Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer, ND. Norman ?Pete? Stevens was born on April 18, 1912, at Angus Iowa, the son of Val and Nora (DeMoss) Stevens. In 1914, he moved with his family to a farm North of Halliday. He attended school at Werner County School and Halliday School. Pete later began to farm and ranch with his older brother, North of Halliday. Pete was an avid horseman and was very good with cattle, riding in many cattle round-ups. He later moved into Halliday where he resided until November of 2000, when he entered HillTop Home of Comfort, where he resided until his death. Pete loved to dance and play cards. He is remembered by many for his great sense of humor, and twinkle in his eye. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sister, and six brothers. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews
