Funeral liturgy for Ralph Flyberg, 95, of New England, will be 11:00 am, Friday, May 29, 2026 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, New England. Visitation will be one hour prior to his service at Stevenson Funeral Home.

Ralph passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at St. Benedicts Health Center, Dickinson.

Ralph John Flyberg was born June 9th, 1930, in Wibaux, MT, to John and Lula (Pulvermacher) Flyberg. He grew up on the family farm and attended school near Chalky Butte Township before graduating from New England Public School in 1948.

Ralph and Bernadine Kilwein were married on June 20th, 1956. Ralph farmed the family farm until 1957. After working a few years in a sugar beet factory in Billings, MT, Ralph and Bernie moved to Seattle, WA, where Ralph worked for Boeing Airlines as a riveter. They returned to New England in 1960. Ralph had jobs at Tri-County Implement and Trip Top Auto, as well as a 30-year career with the postal service. He also mowed lawn for the New England golf course for 21 years.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Bernie; his son, Clyde (Judy) Flyberg of Dickinson, ND, his son Brian (Rhea) Flyberg of Linton, ND, and his daughter Michelle Olheiser of Chatfield, MN; six grandchildren, Arthur (Sydnie) Flyberg, Dickinson, ND; Whitney (Alan) Ibach, Bismarck, ND, Courtney (Ryan) Heiser, Bismarck, Brooks (Ashlee) Flyberg, Shakopee, MN, McKenna (Brady) Thielges, Bismarck; Derrick Olheiser, Chatfield, MN, and sister-in-law Marcella Flyberg, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Melvyn, Dale, and Lester Flyberg; and his sisters Gladys Gowdy, Lucille Austin, Ilo Wolff, and Betty Miller.

Ralph was a thoughtful, kind and humble man who always gave wise advice when asked. Ralph made the world a better place and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
