Robert Hild

Robert Hild, 65, of Dickinson, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Country House, Dickinson.

In accordance to Roberts wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will take place at a later date.

Robert (Bob) M. Hild passed away February 3, 2026 at Country House in Dickinson. He was born August 18, 1960, the youngest child born to Joe and Betty (Herauf) Hild. Bob was raised on the Maltese Cross Ranch south of Medora. He attended grade school at DeMores School in Medora later graduating from Belfield High School. After high school he went to work in the oil field industry. He worked as a mechanic at Koch Oil and later on oil field work over rigs. This lead to his career in the oil field. He worked as a sales representative for companies selling equipment to oil drilling rigs. This took him to living in Oklahoma, California, Alaska and Texas plus road trips overseas to Russia, Oman and other countries. He returned to live in Medora in July 2025. Bob moved into Country House in August 2025. When not working, Bob enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his buddies. He also enjoyed a good action adventure book like those of James Patterson. Bob and Mitzi Myers married on May 27, 1988 in Medora. They later divorced.

Bob is survived by his sister Betty Jo (Larry) Ridl, brother John (Becky) Hild, nephews, niece, great nephews and nieces.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joe L. and Betty Hild.

No memorial service will be held.
