Robert "Bob" Tibor was born in Richardton, ND on April 21, 1952, to Victor and Ann (Conlon) Tibor. Bob grew up south of Hebron on a ranch and started his education in rural schools in Grant County until the fall of his 6th grade. He attended his following years at Hebron Public School where he graduated in 1970. Bob was involved in basketball, track and football. In his high school years, he became their official camera man and captured many basketball and football games. He was very proud of his team as they were undefeated through high school. After graduation from North Dakota College of Science, he started a 50 year career in plumbing, heating and air conditioning trades. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Janet Schaaf on July 14, 1973. Together they shared a lifelong journey of love and companionship. Bob started his career working for Klein Plumbing & Heating. Later he purchased the business and started Bob's Plumbing & Heating that served the area for 18 years. On October 10, 1985 they were blessed with a son, Tate. Together the three of them spent many years of memorable trips and adventures. Bob had a great love of flying his entire life and was honored to receive his private pilot license. He enjoyed taking his Cessna 172 Skyhawk to the sky and especially taking children up for their first flight. His HVAC career spanned for 50 years. In that time period, he met many of his lifelong friends in the trade area from all over the Midwest. After Bob sold his business, he was employed by Globe, Inc., United Technology Carrier Corporation, SPS Companies and Ellingson Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning and Electrical as a commercial sales representative and engineer. Bob had a love of history and was one of the founding fathers of the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame. He served as Vice President for 18 years. He had a great belief in keeping our history alive for generations to come. He was a member of the Hebron Wildlife and Gun Club, Glen Ullin Motorcycle Club, served on the advisory board for Confederation of Clubs of North Dakota and was a national board member of the National Coalition of Motorcyclists and represented ABATE of North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado.
