Funeral service for Ronald Olheiser, 88, of Dickinson will be 11 am, Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Rev. Lisa Lewton and Rev. Mary Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 pm - 6 pm, Monday, November 17, 2025 at Stevenson Funeral Home.
Ron passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at his home at Park Avenue Villa.
Ronald John Olheiser was born in Dickinson on January 7, 1937, the son of John P. and Josephine (Horan) Olheiser. He was raised and attended school in Amidon until the age of nine when the family moved to Dickinson. He attended St. Joseph's, Dickinson and Dickinson Central Schools. After attending school he worked at Gress Sheep Company and Dairy Farm, Dickinson Cemetery, Cloverdale Foods, Mandan Wholesale Foods, Western Dairies, Cass Clay Dairies and ND State Highway Department. Ron retired from the ND Highway Department as Forman of the Sign Department in 2002. He continued to work as grounds keeper at St. John Lutheran Church until 2014. Ron spent countless hours volunteering his time working in the church yard and had many compliments over the years of the great work he did. Ron enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling during his younger years when he wasn't working to support his family. He truly loved camping with his many camping friends where he was known as the camp fire keeper and would treat all the card players to popcorn. On November 7, 1981 Ron married Beverly Hanna Moseley.
Ron is survived by his wife, Beverly of Dickinson; five children, Calvin Olheiser of Belfield, Kurt (Coleen) Olheiser of Dickinson, Lynn (Bruce) Kempf ) of Barnum, MN, Darla (Keith) Kadrmas of Killdeer, Keith (Gina) Olheiser of Dickinson; step-children, Kirk Moseley of Aurora, CO, Craig (Heather) Moseley of Buffalo, MN; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; brother, John Olheiser of Dickinson; sisters, Shannon (Paul) Backer of Bismarck, Janice (Kent) Lynne of Washburn.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ted and Les Olheiser; infant sister; a sister, Josephine Scheeler; infant granddaughter, Sarah Kempf.
