Sheronne Kuriga

Funeral Services for Sheronne Kuriga, 48, of Rapid City, formerly of Mandaree, ND will be 10:00 AM CT, Monday, March 9, 2026 at St. Anthony's Church, in Mandaree. Burial will follow at the Wicker Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Sunday, March 9, 2026 with Rosary at 7:00 PM CT at St. Anthony's Church.

Sheronne passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026 at her home in Rapid City, SD, surrounded by family.

Sheronne White, whose Native name was Lays with Her Mother, was born on December 9, 1977, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She grew up in North Dakota and attended Edwin Lowe Elementary School in New Town. Sheronne later attended Mandaree High School and continued her education at Oglala Lakota College in Rapid City and Kyle, South Dakota.

On June 29, 2013, Sheronne was united in marriage to Daisuke Kuriga in Rapid City, South Dakota. Together they shared a life filled with love, adventure, and dedication to family.

Sheronne enjoyed spending time outdoors and making memories with those she loved. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, hiking, biking, and cruising to her favorite songs . Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her two children, Anna and Angel.

Sheronne will be remembered for her love of family, her adventurous spirit, and the joy she brought to those who knew her.

Sheronne is survived by her husband, Daisuke Kuriga; her children, Anna Dae White and Angel Waylon White; her mother, Nora Mae White Eagle; and her siblings, Donessa Wicker, Donnilee (Robert) Birdbear, Tatum White, and Jory (Jessica) Killspotted.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger White; her stepfather, Daron White Eagle; and her grandparents, Anna and Allen Wicker.
