Spencer Huether, 76, of Ekalaka passed away July 1, 2025 at Dahl Memorial in Ekalaka. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
Spencer George Huether was born November 17, 1948 in Baker, MT to George and Hulda (Sieler) Huether. He grew up and attended schools in Baker and graduated from Baker High School in 1967. After graduation he moved to Billings and attended Eastern Montana College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Spencer moved back to eastern Montana and began a career as an appraiser for the state. He moved to Ekalaka and continued his work as an appraiser, retiring on April 1, 2000. In 1986 Spencer and Roberta (Parks) were married at Medicine Rocks State Park. Together they made their home in Ekalaka.
Spencer loved to travel and did so extensively with his brother David. They traveled from Alaska to the tip of Texas and from the west to east coast. Spencer and Roberta found great joy in traveling and continued traveling for many years. To say Spencer enjoyed fishing would be an understatement. If there was water with fish in it, he fished. From Beaver Creek to any major lake he threw in a line when given the chance. Spencer loved his Golden Cocker Spaniels as his children. He and Roberta had three, Ginger Golda Meir, Janessa Jewel and Meerah Rose.
Spencer is loved and will be missed by his wife, Roberta Huether of Ekalaka; brothers, Victor (Linda) Huether of Mesa, AZ, and David (Renee) Huether of Grand Forks, ND; sister-in-law, Rita Huether of Alamo, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded by his parents George and Hulda; and brother, Arnold Huether.
