Steven Grindstaff

Steve Rex Grindstaff, 68, passed away peacefully at his home on April 29, 2026 in Dickinson, ND.

Steve worked as a dedicated truck driver, traveling countless miles across the country, however his true passion in life was music. As a drummer for much of his life, he found joy and purpose behind the drum set. His talent and love for music brought happiness to many and created lasting memories for those fortunate enough to hear him play.

Steve will be remembered for his independent nature, his musical talent, and the meaningful connections he shared with family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Steven Grindstaff of Portland, Oregon; his daughter, Alora Grindstaff and his beloved granddaughter, Harley Hall, of Hickory, North Carolina

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit lives on through the music he loved and shared with others, and his rhythm and talent carry on in the beat of the hearts of his greatest pride and joy, his children.
