Tony Efta

Funeral service for Tony Efta will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St Philips Church, St Philips, MT. Interment will be in St Phillips Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation for Tony will take place one hour prior to the service.

Anton Robert Efta Jr, “Tony”, passed away on December 15, 2020 at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive MT.

Tony was born on August 18, 1926 to parents Anton, Sr, and Eda Efta in rural Wibaux County. He attended school in Wibaux. He joined the US Army and served in Korea during the Korean conflict. He was honorably discharged and returned to the family farm south of Wibaux where he farmed and raised hogs.
Tony married Margaret Moser and to this union, one son, Robert, was born.

Tony worked on the farm until he retired and moved to Wibaux where he lived until moving to the Golden Valley Manor in Beach ND. He later moved into the Eastern Montana Veteran’s Home in Glendive. Tony loved to play cards and was always up for a game of cards or a bingo game. He had a great sense of humor and would often crack jokes.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Walter and Sylvester; three sisters Frances, Anna, and Gertrude, his wife, Margaret, and his son Robert.

He is survived by stepsons, Darin and Fern Moser, 12 nephews and 7 nieces.
