A Memorial Service for Travis Walton, 48, of Grand Junction Colorado will be held at 1:00 pm., Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ada, Oklahoma. Inurnment will follow at the Walton Family Cemetery in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.

Travis passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 in Dickinson, North Dakota.

Travis was born on February 25, 1977, in Ada, Oklahoma, the son of Marshall Steven and Carol (Loch) Walton. He attended elementary school at Moss and Sasakwa School and graduated from Ada High School in 1995. He later attended Oklahoma City Community College, where he earned a degree in finance.

While in college, Travis met the love of his life, Sarah Knight. They were married on August 30, 1997, and together were blessed with their daughter, Carys, born on December 19, 2006.

Travis worked as a crane operator in the construction and oilfield industry, where he took great pride in his work. He was a true sports enthusiast who loved cheering on the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In 2014, Travis and his family relocated to Colorado, where they built a beautiful life together. Family was the center of Travis’s world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Travis is survived by his wife, Sarah Walton of Grand Junction, CO; daughter, Carys Walton of Grand Junction, CO; parents, Steve and Sue Walton of Ada, OK; sisters, Starlia Walkton of Ada, OK, and Kristy (Jeff) Parsons of Kingston, OK; brother, Matthew (Brandi) Walton of Ada, OK; brother-in-law, Stephen (Christy) Knight of Castle Rock, CO; mother-in-law, Marsha Johnson of Grand Junction, CO; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Beth Loch, Burnie Walton and Doris Spruill.
