Violet Siewert was born November 26, 1940, and died March 31, 2026, at Missouri Slope Skilled Nursing. She was born to Gotthilf and Lenora (Auch) Siewert in Richardton, North Dakota. She grew up on the farm on the Heart River, south of what was then Antelope, ND. She attended Heart River #3 School, a mile from the farm. Growing up, Violet spent many hours helping on the family farm. When she wasn't attending school, you could find her right alongside her dad, even driving the tractor. Violet graduated from Hebron High School in 1958. In her 20's, Violet made a commitment to dedicate her life to Christ and live the way he wanted her to.

Violet married Milton Ruben Walth on October 9, 1958 in Neuburg Congregational Church near Burt, ND. The couple was blessed with a daughter, Debra Joyce. Due to health complications, Debra died at the age of two. It was an extremely sad time in their life, but Violet knew the Lord would watch over Debra.

Violet and Milton lived on the Walth family farm south of Hebron. Milton had to get used to having a woman around, especially one who could take over driving the tractor. Violet truly was a farmer. The couple enjoyed working side by side. In 2011, Violet and Milton moved to Hebron. Violet promised him that she would go out to the farm over the summer months. She enjoyed her time in Hebron. She did a walk almost every day, had coffee uptown, and enjoyed time at the Senior Center.

The church was very important in her life. As a youngster she attended Bethesda Congregational Church, and when it closed she attended Neuburg Congregational Church. She taught Sunday School, Bible School and was an active member of the Ladies Aid. When Milton and Violet moved to Hebron they became members of First Baptist Church. She again became active with the ladies group and especially liked to attend the women's retreat at Crystal Springs Bible Camp each year.

Violet was also a member of the Sunbeam Homemakers Club and was a prayer partner for Gideon's. She enjoyed traveling with Milton, especially their trip to Mineral Water in Wyoming.

In Violet's words, "So, as you can see, I have had my good times and some rough spots, but I'm thankful for the life I had."

In July 2023, Violet moved to Park Avenue Assisted Living in Dickinson. In October 2024, she moved to Marian Manor in Glen Ullin. December 1 of 2025 she was moved to Missouri Slope Skilled Nursing in Bismarck where she died.

Violet is survived by her sisters, Ethel Mart of Mandan and Sharleen Fraase of Dickinson; brother, Larry Siewert of Dickinson; sisters-in-law, Beverly Walth of Mandan and Viola (Edgar) Fuchs of Bismarck; numerous friends, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton; parents, Gotthilf and Lenora Siewert; daughter, Debra; sister, Sharyl Jenkins; and brothers-in-law, Robert Mart, Rodger Fraase, Jim Jenkins and James Walth; and father and mother-in-law Fred (Esther) Walth.
