Liturgy of the word for Virginia Schwartz, 85, of Hebron, will be 2:00 p.m. CT, Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Inurnment for follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery.


Visitation for Virginia will be 1:00 p.m. CT – 2:00 p.m., CT Wednesday February 5, 2020 at the church with a rosary being held at 1:30 p.m. CT.


Virginia passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.


Virginia (Heyd) Schwartz was born August 7, 1934 in Napoleon, ND to Rudolph and Lydia Heyd. At the age of four, she had lost both her parents and was taken in by her maternal Aunt Louise Mayer Senne. She has one surviving half-sister Iona (Heyd) Bolstad. She attended Hebron High School. On June 15, 1954 she was united in marriage to Ray Schwartz. They were blessed with three children; Jeffrey, Loran and Bonnie. Virginia loved to cook and bake and enjoyed time with her family. She held various jobs in the community where they resided their whole life.


She is survived by her husband Ray; her children, Jeffrey (Roselyn) Schwartz and their children Kristi (Todd) Dutchuk, Mike (Tammy) Schwartz, Amy Schwartz-Jacobson and their families; daughter Bonnie (Andy) Howell and her child Tina (Jared) Bogenschutz and children. Virginia and Ray have eleven great-grandchildren.


She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers Walter, Lloyd, Robert and Herbert; son Loran Schwartz; and great-grandson Dalton Dutchuk.
