Funeral Mass for Arthur "Art" Peabody, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel in Ekalaka, MT with Father Baskar Raj celebrating.

Visitation will take place 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2026 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Ekalaka.

Rosary and Vigil will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2026 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Ekalaka.

William Authur "Art" Peabody 84, of Upton WY passed Saturday 11, 2026 at Weston County Health.
Art was born on October 27, 1941 to Addie Brandley & Glenn Peabody of Ekalaka, MT. He had went to school in Ekalaka, MT and had graduated from Carter County High School. Then went to college to get his teaching degree as a English teacher. He then decided it was not the career to follow. So he became a mechanic. Then he went into the navy.

Art had been honorably discharged and received the Purple Heart. His name is on the Purple Heart memorial wall in Ekalaka MT. After his time in the military he had met Mary Chamberlain in Baker, MT. Then on August 8th 1969 they got married. With this union came three children Kenton, Galene and Channa. We traveled all over MT. Art worked on drilling rigs as a Tool Pusher and a Driller. He worked for Cardnail, Bomac, and Neighbors Drilling Company. Art worked hard for his family. We learned from our Dad and Mom to work hard. When Mary passed away on May 8, 1997 Art moved to Newcastle to work on rigs and at this time he was set up on a blind date where he met Sally Coberly, a lovely lady. He fell in love with her and moved to Upton, where his love grew.

Art married Sally Coberly June 24, 2001, which doing so he gained two sons Clark and Drew. Art loved his wife so much. He also loved his cats, Kalamazoo, Samantha and Blue. He love his family so much. He was so proud of his grandkids with all of his heart.

Art is survived by his two daughters, Channa (Marc) Fuhrman, Miles City MT, Brody Peabody; Izzy Fuhrman; Taylor Fuhrman (Tony); great grandkids, Ben & Dorrean Ford, Miles City MT, Galene (Raymond), Aulaura, Miles City MT, Two sons Clark (Lara) Coberly, Upton, WY, Annika, Vermillion, South Dakota, Aidan of Annapolis, Maryland; Drew (Elaine) Coberly, Connor, Matthew of Round Rock, TX; grandson, Garrett Peabody, Billings, MT.

He is preceded in death by his parents Addie Brandley, Glenn Peabody; half-sister, Joy Neumann; his wife, Mary Peabody; son, Kenton Peabody; grandson, Terry Fuhrman and the love of his life, Sally Coberly-Peabody.
